Every year at this monastery a Thungdrub Drubchen is performed of the Dharmakaya Amitabha, Sambhogakaya Avaloketeshwara or Nirmanakaya Guru Padmasambhava, taking turns each year. This year Ayang Rinpoche will lead the Dharmakaya Amitabha Thungdrub by giving teachings on the 10-Levels Amitabha teachings to the public and also reciting 1 billion Amitabha mantras during the Drubchen.

During the fifteen-day period of the Drupchen, Rinpoche requests that practitioners world-wide also chant the Amitabha mantra as much as they can.  This will accumulate merit and remove obstacles concerning many issues challenging the world in these difficult times. Those who maintain a count of the Amitabha mantras can report their figures at the end of every three days to the websites of each country or to amitabhafoundation@yahoo.co.in or drikungcharitablesociety@yahoo.com
